Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park is Wonderful in late Spring.

Hard going for this young eucalypt growing in a small crevice on this large granite outcrop at Mt Pilot.

View from Mt Pilot, looking NW. There are large outcrops of granite across the Park.

These images were taken in mid October in North East Victoria, Australia. The Park is a well known birding hotspot. We ventured there with the Birdlife Australia-Murray Goulburn group for a weekend camp staying at Rutherglen.

  1. Wow. Every one of your photos shows something I’ve never seen before. It’s hard to pick a favorite… but the blooming fringe myrtle and the oriole are top contenders!

  2. Thanks Sam. Spring time is amazing in this part of the World. The Common Fringe Myrtle is really special. The Oriole is another amazing bird quite a melodious call.

Your photos are so crystal clear.
